The Rescue of Sildar
- The adventure resumes with the goblin prisoner.
- The party talks to him to try and get information
- The goblin wants to go, and is not very helpful
- However, he reveals details about Klarg and a fort to which Grunden was taken
- Brannus in the mean time nurses Sildar back to health
- When Sildar recovers he tells the party what he knows
- The history behind Deepdale and Mines of Deepholm
- The fact that Grunden found a map to the mine with his brothers
- The existence of something, or someone, called The Black Hand
- His allegiance to the Haven’s Guard
- His quest to find details about Iarno Albrek
- Sildar grabs some goblin weapons and decides to help the party deal with Klarg.
- They leave the goblin behind, tied up.
- They walk to Klarg’s cave and find two goblins by a bunch of stacked boxes.
- The bugbear Klarg soon shows up as well with his wolf Ripper
- A fight breaks
- Sigmar gets hit quite badly right from the start
- Sildar jumps to the fray and holds his own
- Brannus tries to scare Klarg with a thaumaturgy trick
- All he gets is the sound of a HUGE burp
- Ripper is defeated, which anguishes Klarg
- But with the help of Sildar, the party defeats everyone
- They briefly consider, while fighting, to spare Klarg
- Sildar, however, kills Klarg in a fit of rage
- He later regrets this and offers to help the party
- With the danger gone, but no leads, the party searches the room
- They notice boxes with a mark of a blue lion
- They also find Klarg’s treasure chest.
- Having nothing left to do here, they decide to leave
- They go check on the goblin, but he is gone: escaped
- When they reach the cart they left behind, it is almost morning
